Cypress' CySmart USB dongle is factory-programmed to emulate a BLE, enabling the debugging of BLE applications

Cypress' CY5677 CySmart BLE 4.2 USB dongle is a BLE-USB bridge featuring a Bluetooth 4.2-compliant PRoC™ BLE, enabling the testing and debugging of BLE systems. The dongle can be used with Cypress' CySmart BLE test and debug tool (Windows® PC) to test and debug BLE host on a computer.

PRoC BLE is a single-chip solution with a 48-MHz ARM® Cortex®-M0 CPU, Bluetooth 4.2 radio, CapSense® technology for touch sensing, two serial communication blocks (SCBs), a 12 bit ADC, four Timer/Counter/PWMs, four additional PWMs, I²S for digital audio, and segment LCD direct-drive capability.

The dongle is factory-programmed to emulate a BLE GAP Central device, enabling the debugging of BLE applications such as those implemented using the CY8CKIT-042-BLE Pioneer Kit.

Download PSoC Creator 3.3 SP1 or later and the CySmart BLE test and debug tool (Windows® PC) to work with the CY5677 CySmart BLE 4.2 USB dongle.
